APC Chairman in Kano State Replaced with The Governor’s Loyalist

Trouble is still brewing at the Kano State chapter of the ruling party as the party announced the suspension of its chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa and replaced hime with Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas as the new party chairman who is The Governor’s Loyalist

Abdullahi Abbas is currently the Special Adviser on Political Affairs to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje. Doguwa had, in the wake of the row between Governor Ganduje and his predecessor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, addressed a joint press conference threatening to sanction Kwankwaso and his supporters for disrespecting the governor and later recanted his earlier statement, saying it was made under duress.

Briefing newsmen on the outcome of a stakeholders meeting, the secretary of the party, Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas, also announced the suspension of the party’s Organising Secretary, Sunusi Suraj. Both officials were accused were accused of gross misconduct and absconding from their official posts.
